UPCOMING EVENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Sunday, August 16<\/strong> – Ice Cream Social<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Ruth’s Pantry Team would like to say thank you for the incredible support our congregation has shown throughout the years. Your donations, volunteer hours, prayers, and encouragement make it possible for us to share God’s love with our neighbors through this important ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please join us Sunday, August 16, immediately following our Outdoor Worship in the Pines, for a Pie & Ice Cream Social as our small way of expressing our appreciation. Stay for homemade pie, ice cream, and fellowship as we celebrate all that God is doing through your generosity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We hope you’ll join us for a sweet afternoon of gratitude and community!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Join us on Sunday, September 13, following worship for our \u201cHands of Grace Congregational Art & Handmade Fair<\/em>\u201d as we celebrate the gifts God has given our church family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Members of the congregation are invited to donate handmade creations\u2014including quilts, paintings, woodworking, knitted and crocheted items, greeting cards, pottery, baked goods, and other handcrafted treasures. All items must be handmade by members or friends of Grace. These one-of-a-kind creations will be available to take home in exchange for a donation to Ruth’s Pantry, helping provide food for our neighbors in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the spirit of God’s Work. Our Hands., we’ll also gather to pack Lutheran World Relief Kits, giving us another opportunity to share Christ’s love with neighbors both near and far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Whether you’re donating your talents, finding a special handmade treasure, helping pack kits, or simply enjoying fellowship with your church family, there’s room for all to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you would like to donate handmade items for the fair, please bring them to the church and give them to Alissa by Sunday, September 6. This will allow time to organize and display all of the wonderful creations for the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Perishable items (such as baked goods) may be brought the day of the event on Sunday, September 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We hope you’ll join us as we use our hands\u2014and the gifts God has given us\u2014to serve others with love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At Grace, our worship services are inspirational and our church family warm and friendly. Everyone is welcome. Some special events are planned. On August 16, the workers at Ruth’s Pantry are sponsoring a homemade pie and ice cream social following the outdoor service to thank the members of Grace for their faithful contributions to the Pantry throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sewing Circle<\/strong>: We are completing many quilts. For the summer, we are meeting only on the fourth<\/strong> Wednesday month to assemble and tie Lutheran World Relief quilts. If you would like to help, please check us out on one of our sewing days in our sewing room located at the southwest corner of the lower level of Grace. No experience or special abilities are needed!!! In addition, the sewing circle is always in need of new or used sheets or light-weight blankets to use in quilt assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lutheran World Relief<\/strong>: Members have been bringing items for Personal Care Kits as well as sheets to be used in the construction of the quilts and school supplies. See the August newsletter<\/em> for more information about what is still needed for the kits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As noted above, packing will take place on September 13–God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday. In 2025, we sent 192 quilts, 61school kits, and 101 personal care kits. While we especially concentrate on school kits at the end of summer when school supplies are plentiful, supplies for kits can be brought to the church any time during the year. Listed below are the supplies needed for school kits and personal care kits.
