All around us, the trees release the leaves they have carried through spring and summer. They don’t hold tightly to what has been. Instead, they make way for a new season.

Perhaps autumn can be a gentle reminder for us, too. Are we carrying a worry that we need to place in God’s hands? A disappointment we haven’t quite released? A schedule that has become too full? An old hurt, an expectation, or simply the feeling that we need to have everything figured out? Scripture reminds us, “Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

Letting go doesn’t always mean that something no longer matters. Sometimes it simply means trusting that we don’t have to carry it alone. So as the leaves begin to fall this October, may they remind us to loosen our grip on the things that weigh us down and make a little more room for peace, grace, and trust in God.

A FULL SCHEDULE OF WORSHIP AND OTHER ACTIVITIES IS AVAILABLE ON THE CALENDAR PAGE OF THIS WEB SITE.

We look forward to seeing you at Grace—at any of our worship services or other activities.
