At Grace, our worship services are inspirational and our church family warm and friendly. Everyone is welcome.

175th Anniversary. The 175th Anniversary Books and are available for $20. A celebration of Grace Lutheran through the years took place at the service on April 27. A catered luncheon feast was enjoyed. Members are invited to write a “Love Letter” to Grace to be placed in the time capsule to be opened at the 200th anniversary in 2050. For those who do not attend the celebration, the opportunity to include a “Love Letter” to Grace will be available for a couple of weeks.

Sewing Circle: We are completing many quilts. If you are willing to share one or two Wednesday mornings a month to help assemble and tie Lutheran World Relief quilts, please check us out on one of our sewing days in our sewing room located at the southwest corner of the lower level of Grace. No experience or special abilities are needed!!! In addition, the sewing circle is always in need of new or used sheets or light-weight blankets to use in quilt assembly.

Lutheran World Relief: Members have been bringing items for Personal Care Kits as well as sheets to be used in the construction of the quilts. Hopefully, some of the Kits will be packed soon.

As the summer progressives, be on the lookout for items for the School Kits. During the month of August we will assemble the kits for Lutheran World Relief. More packing will take place in September. In 2025, we sent 192 quilts, 61school kits, and 101 personal care kits. While we especially concentrate on school kits at the end of summer when school supplies are plentiful, supplies for kits can be brought to the church any time during the year. Listed below are the supplies needed for school kits and personal care kits.

Each School Kit must have:

4 spiral-bound 70-page notebooks
5 unsharpened pencils
5 ball point stick pens with caps
a pencil sharpener
a 2-inch pink eraser
a ruler with both inches and metric
a scissors with rounded tips
one box of 12 crayons

Each Personal Care Kit must have:

27″ by 52″ (approximately) dark towel (preferably not very heavy)
2 4-ounce bars of mild soap
fingernail clipper
individually wrapped tooth brush (not in plastic bags–use mailing envelopes)
comb with VERY, VERY wide teeth
